The Mornington Peninsula Branch of the Greens invites you to meet the Greens candidates including the Lead Federal and State Upper House candidates and lower house candidates for electorates on the Mornington Peninsula.

Other commitments permitting Sue Pennicuik, State Upper House MLC will also be attending.

Federal Lead Senate Candidate Richard Di Natale
Dr Richard Di Natale is poised to become Victoria's first Greens Senator. Richard is a doctor and public health specialist, currently working as a drug and alcohol clinician. He spent several years in Indigenous health in the Northern Territory and implementing HIV prevention initiatives in India. Currently living in the Otway Ranges, Richard, his partner Lucy, and son Luca, are busy re-vegetating their property and establishing an organic orchard and olive grove. The son of Italian immigrants, Richard speaks Italian fluently and regularly contributes to SBS radio. After 6 years of playing VFA football, Richard is now a long suffering Richmond fan. Go Tigers. Victoria has the chance to do what no one else in Australia can do; kick Family First's Steve Fielding out of the Senate. If we manage this, there's a very good chance the Greens will hold the balance of power in the Senate.

State Lead Candidate for the Upper House Eastern Victoria Samantha Dunn

Smantha Dunn is Lead Candidate for the State Upper House, Eastern Victoria region. Samantha has represented the Greens as a local government councillor in the Shire of Yarra Ranges since 2005.

In that time she has been a strong advocate for children and families, farmers, community safety and sensible environmental policies.

A financial controller by trade in the Apprenticeship and Traineeship sector is now dedicating her time to providing a strong voice for the community.

As a top priority, her plan for a renewable Eastern Victoria will be a 21st century clean energy and manufacturing boom and help to accelerate Victoria’s transition to a world leading sustainable economy.

State Candidate for Nepean (Southern Peninsula) Anton Vigenser
Anton has headed up (CEO) Clean Ocean Foundation for 2 years and is well known for his engagement in marine and land concerns and overcoming the many challenges that a Non for Profit organisations face.
Growing up on the Southern Peninsula Anton is aware of issues that have affected the peninsula in the past and wants to encourage the involvement of the whole community in future plans so the region is not loved to death. As an educator, Anton is also well placed to advocate loud and clear for issues affecting many areas, such as Housing, Education and Mental Health. His motto: It’s Easy being Green!

We are hopeful Greens candidates for Flinders and Hastings will also be in attendance.

You are invited to raise questions and discuss with the Candidates your issues for the Federal and State elections. The Candidates will speak to the issues and answer any questions.
